For whom: movement and/or dance enthusiasts from Le Havre and the Normandy region, with a background in dance in its various aesthetic forms (contemporary, classical, urban, African, swing, k-pop, etc.) as well as other sporting disciplines (skateboarding, surfing, parkour, climbing, etc.) and artistic disciplines (drawing, music, design/graphics, etc.).
.
Goals: the H2O project aims to support young dancers and movement practitioners in finding the keys to their creativity, possible revealing cooperative ventures and multi-disciplinary emancipation.
.
How : shifts' methodology for working with teenagers and young adults is based on three pillars: high-level creative processes; support for autonomy, self-management and empowerment; and ongoing encounters to nurture enthusiasm and creativity.
.
Two discovery sessions will enable all those interested to discover the project in shared practice, at the shifts studio in Le Havre, in September 2023 (slot options: September 16, 23, 30 - dates set at the beginning of July).
.
The group will meet twice a month, on Saturdays, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at shifts studio / Les Ateliers du mouvement (6, rue du général Sarrail, Le Havre / 5 min from the train station), as well as for creative events / studio openings once a term and performances at the end of the school year.
.
The first year will be punctuated by regular movement workshops, linked to choreographic tools, images, anatomical knowledge and creativity, then, in the second part, by the genesis of a joint, collaborative and creative project, to be shared with the public in June/early July.
.
Together with the group, we hope to generate the creation of a permanent company, made up of a group of dancers trained over several years, with the aim of achieving a high level of autonomy, both artistic and structural, in an atmosphere of sincerity, cooperation and open-mindedness.

.
Our experience :
As an international dance company, we have taught young students for several years in the choreography departments of art colleges in Berlin, Arnhem in the Netherlands, Dartington in England, and KNUA - Korean National University of the Arts. We have also carried out numerous projects for 15-30 year-olds in France and abroad. For example, we have supported a project for 120 young girls in Pakistan, the creation of a collective of young choreographers in Mexico, and the creation of a 15-25 company Impuls' in 2013 at the Triangle - Cité de la danse in Rennes, with 45 young dancers to co-create a piece with multiple influences and styles. Following this performance, and the enthusiasm it aroused in the audience, they decided to continue the adventure together, with the Triangle's support and a high degree of autonomy, and set off on tour.
